ABOUT KCWEP
Kakamega County Widows Empowerment Project (KCWEP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable women in Kakamega County and surrounding areas.
Established in 2016 and officially registered with the government of Kenya in March 2017 under the Ministry of Social Services , KCWEP has been actively engaged in various empowerment initiatives.The primary objective of KCWEP is to address the challenges faced by female-headed households, particularly widows, vulnerable single mothers, and teen mothers. These groups often encounter significant socio-economic hardships and lack access to essential resources and opportunities. By focusing on empowerment, advocacy, and transformation, KCWEP aims to uplift these marginalized individuals and enable them to lead more fulfilling and sustainable lives.
